ABSTRACT
Principles of creating of biosphere-compatible buildings are considered. These principles include the optimization of service life of buildings, choice of structural materials, renewable energy, and level of glazing of buildings. Building regulations of the CIS countries are analyzed with respect to design of buildings in biosphere -compatible cities.
