INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
General information
- Construction of Optimized Energy Potential (CoOEP) is published annually in both electronic and print versions.
- Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year.
- The official publication date of each volume is December of a given calendar year. Individual articles are published online on a rolling basis as soon as the editorial process, peer review, language proofreading, and publishing preparation have been completed.
- The journal publishes papers in the field of engineering and technical sciences. The main discipline represented in the journal is civil engineering, geodesy and transport. Related disciplines include architecture and urban planning, materials engineering, and environmental engineering.
Basic requirements for manuscripts
- Articles inconsistent with the subject matter of the journal, duplicate submissions, or manuscripts prepared contrary to the Instructions for Authors will not be accepted.
- The manuscript must be prepared in English and written in correct academic English.
- Authors are required to follow the journal’s Editorial Policy and ethical standards of scientific publishing.
- Authors are solely responsible for the substantive content of the submitted work, its originality, and any information, declarations, or acknowledgements included in the manuscript.
- Authors should properly acknowledge the work of others and cite all publications that influenced the submitted work.
- If fragments of publications, photographs, tables, graphs, or drawings created by other authors are used, the authors of the manuscript are obliged to cite the source properly, indicate the legal basis for use under an appropriate licence, or obtain permission from the copyright holder.
- Authors guarantee that they have the appropriate authorisations from their employers and/or research funding institutions to publish the results of the work.
- All sources of financial support for the work should be disclosed, including the grant number or other reference number, where applicable.
- Only persons who meet the authorship criteria may be listed as authors of the article. Persons who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship may be mentioned in the “Acknowledgements” section, provided they have given written consent to disclose their name and surname.
- If the work involves chemicals, procedures, or equipment with any unusual hazards inherent in their use, the authors must clearly identify these in the manuscript.
Submission and publication conditions
- Submission of an article is treated as consent to its publication and distribution in electronic form (PDF) on the journal’s website and in repositories or digital libraries in which the journal is archived.
- All articles published in Construction of Optimized Energy Potential are made available in full open access under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) licence.
- The authors retain copyright to their article. By submitting the manuscript, the authors grant the Publisher the right of first publication and other non-exclusive publishing rights.
- The Editorial Office encourages authors to deposit only the published version of their work in a repository of their choice (e.g. ResearchGate).
- The condition for publication of the article is the submission by the author/all authors of a statement confirming the originality of the work, declaration of AI use, free-of-charge consent to publication and distribution by the Publisher, and consent to editorial changes resulting from the publishing process, using the form available on the journal’s website (“Authors’ statement”).
- Articles accepted after peer review are subject to an article processing charge (APC). Detailed information is available in the “Article processing charges” section.
- The order of publication of individual texts is determined by the completion of the publishing process, including positive reviews, timely submission of the revised version by the author, and technical and language corrections, as well as by the relevance and timeliness of the subject matter.
- The Editorial Office reserves the right to make editorial, linguistic, and technical changes to the text.
- Authors are required to cooperate efficiently during the editorial and review process and respond promptly to requests and comments from the editors or reviewers.
- Authors should be prepared, if necessary, to provide the data underlying the article.
- If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they are obliged to notify the Editor promptly and cooperate in publishing a correction, erratum, or retraction.
- The Editorial Office does not return submitted materials.
Submission steps
Each submission of an article is carried out in the following steps:
- Manuscript type,
- Title of the article in English,
- Keywords in English (3 to 5 words),
- Abstract in English (150 to 300 words),
- Name and surname of the Author/Co-authors, ORCID iD, e-mail address, affiliation,
- Manuscript topics,
- Sources of financing,
- Acknowledgements/Comments,
- Suggested reviewers (three persons: name and surname, e-mail address, affiliation),
- Scanned document of the statement with the Author’s/Co-authors’ signature,
- The article in the DOC or DOCX file in the appropriate format in accordance with the guidelines contained in the instructions for
- Authors regarding the preparation of the article,
- Statement on the processing of personal data,
- Privacy Policy Statement,
- Submitting the article.
Publication procedure
Initial manuscript assessment by the Editorial Office (average time - 14 days):
- Checking the manuscript for compliance with the journal's subject matter, originality of the work (type of publication) and instructions for Authors.
- Checking the manuscript for the possibility of occurrence of plagiarism, duplication of work and copyright infringement. Checking information about the contribution of the Author/Authors in order to prevent scientific dishonesty such as "ghostwriting" and "guest authorship".
- Accepting and directing the text to the next stage or rejecting a text incompatible with the subject matter of the journal, duplicated, does not conform to the requirements of a scientific paper, prepared in a manner inconsistent with the instructions for Author/Authors, exceeding required volume or violating the principles of ethics in scientific publications by the Editor-in-Chief and Scientific Editors.
- Informing the corresponding author whether the article has been rejected or referred for further processing.
Manuscript review (average time - 30 days):
- Appointment of Reviewers in accordance with the journal’s peer review procedure.
- Preparation of reviews in accordance with the reviewing procedure.
- Sending information about the results of the review to the corresponding Author
- Correction of the text by the author/authors and resubmission to the Editorial Board
- If re-evaluation is necessary, sending the amended version of the text to the Reviewers.
- Sending information about the results of the re-review to the corresponding Author.
Further stages:
- Payment of the article processing charge (APC) to the bank account (if applicable).
- Language proofreading of the text by a native speaker.
Editorial preparation in the Publishing Office:
- Sending the article to the Publishing Office.
- Editorial work on the article.
- Author’s proofreading.
- Preparation of the final version of the article.
Final stages of publication:
- Publication of the article on the journal’s website.
- Informing the corresponding Author about publication the article on the journal's website and sending him the article in an electronic version.
- Assignment of DOI numbers.
- Preparation of the printed version of the journal issue by the Publishing Office.
The average time from submission to publication is 120 days.
Instructions for Authors - technical requirements
The article should be prepared according to the Instructions for Authors only in English.
The Instructions for Authors regarding manuscript preparation are available in the form of article templates.
An ORCID iD is required for all authors/co-authors of the article, regardless of their status (employee, student) and affiliation.
In the “Acknowledgements/Comments” section, please indicate the contribution of individual authors or entities to the publication, the originality of the article, sources of financing, and any acknowledgements.
The Harvard referencing style should be used for the bibliography.
Please use the following citation format for your article:
Surname of the author/authors, First initial. (20xx) Title of the article. Construction of Optimized Energy Potential, volume number, pages, DOI: 10.17512/bozpe.20xx.xx.xx.
The volume number, page range, and DOI will be completed by the Publishing Office.

Authors’ statement
The condition for publication of the article is the submission by the Author/all Authors of a statement about originality of the work, declaration of AI use and the free of charge consent for its publishing and distribution by the Publisher and making necessary changes in it resulting from the editorial work on the form available below.
The initial copyright of the article is held by the Authors. The Authors retain the copyright to their article. The Authors grant the Publisher the right of first publish of this article, and other non-exclusive publishing rights. The Authors declare that the article is not currently intended for publication in another journal.
The form should be completed, signed, scanned and sent to the online editor in a PDF file, via the journal's website from the panel Submit your paper.
