ABSTRACT
The article presents the requirements for the energy performance of windows and their changes in the Polish legislation. It describes the parameters of windows used in the past and their development over the years. Characterized by changes in the structure and technology of windows depending on when they were used. It presents the general principles of construction of modern windows, their energy performance and the impact on the visual aspects of buildings.
