THERMOMODERNIZATION OF A SAMPLE PUBLIC BUILDING WHICH IS LOCATED IN POLISH CLIMATE CONDITIONS

ABSTRACT
In this article, we can see an attempt to improve public building to current national standards. To achieve the set goals, it was necessary to determine the tech- nical condition of the building in terms of thermal insulation of divisions, status of the internal heating systems with a heating source. Then, there were proposed the solutions of thermomodernization which will reduce the energy demand. From this solutions the optimal variant was selected. Author analysed variants with an insulation on the external wall, flat roof, replacement of windows and doors, modernization the heating system and the installation of domestic hot water. In addition, variant with solar panels was analysed. The results confirm that the selection of appropriate modernization activities can reduce the consumption of the building's energy by up to 73% compared to the existing one. The building was modeled in the Audytor OZC 6.5 Pro software. Part of the calculation was also performed using the RETScreen 4 software and Microsoft Office Excel 2007. The results were presented in the article.
