ABSTRACT
This article discusses the effect of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) waste on the properties of concrete mix and concrete. The results of tests for unmodified and modified concrete with 5% by weight of cement are used. Concrete is based on Portland cement CEM I 42.5R and mixes of basalt and sand aggregates. Based on the analysis of literature and experimental research, it was found that the concrete in its composition contains recycled PET, it can be used in inter alia in road infrastructure such as pavements, motorway infrastructure. The concept of “environmentally friendly” concrete is ideally suited to a sustainable development strategy that is one of the key determinants of economic development today.
