ABSTRACT
A short characteristic of wood as building material susceptible to attacks of insects and domestic fungus is described in the article concerning a case of biological corrosion in an old traditional house. Damages caused by insects as well by fungus are presented taking into account natural wearing out of structure and renovations. Steps of improving thermal comfort are described as well.
