ABSTRACT
This article presents the results of the economic feasibility analysis of the threshold operation of thermal power plants (TPP). The determination of an economic feasibility threshold makes it possible to estimate an economically reasonable extension of TPP lifetime and shows reasonable fuel cost level for electricity generation. The second part of the article shows the technical and economic performance of an introduction of frequency converters for feeding pump as one of the appropriate methods of modernization of TPP.
